Ex-Army Officer’s Properties Sought for Seizure by Police

Police in Rawalpindi have taken legal action to seize the properties of ex-army officer Adil Raja, who gained attention for his anti-establishment social media posts and vlogs.

According to police reports, Raja fled to the United Kingdom following the removal of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government last year and has been critical of both the current government and the military establishment.

As per the details, the case against Raja, registered by Rawalpindi’s Banni police, is based on accusations of criminal breach of trust.

Furthermore, the police claim that Raja is deliberately avoiding legal action by hiding from the authorities and have requested the sessions court to attach his properties.

Raja owns a 10-marla residential plot in Phase-8, Bahria Town, a five-Marla commercial plot in Commercial Squire, Bahria Town, an apartment in Askari-4, and two vehicles – a Toyota Hilux Revo and a Vigo.

The ex-army officer is an active Twitter user and a vocal supporter of former prime minister Imran Khan.

However, his criticism of the current government has drawn scrutiny from authorities, leading to legal action against him.
