HESCO Special team disconnects over 200 illegal power connections in Talhar subdivision

Talhar, Sindh: A special team of Hyderabad Electric Supply Company HESCO disconnected over 200 illegal connections and registered cases against seven persons during a drive to stop theft of electricity and recover outstanding bills amounting Rs.110 million in Talhar subdivision of Badin district.

The team, headed by Executive Engineer Nisar Ahmed Memon and DSP Special Branch Jamil Ahmed Siyal, during the raids registered cases against five persons – Farooque Memon, Adnan Khuwaja, Pappu Khuwaja and two other power thieves while two cases were registered against PMLF leader Dr. Muhammad Asif Memon and Muhammad Juman Mallah for putting obstacles in performing the duty. The police have arrested Farooque Memon for allegedly stealing electricity.

Nisar Memon told that the amount of electricity bills outstanding in Talhar town is Rs.10 million.
