Ibad inaugurates new pumping station at Dhabeji

Karachi: Better management plan has resulted in better performance of 90 percent industries in the city, said Governor of Sindh Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan.

Speaking at the inauguration of new pumping station for 100 million gallon daily water supply to Karachi, he said we are going to introduce a new system for the water supply and sewerage pumping stations, which would ensure swift supply of electricity.

M.D KW&SB Misbahuddin Farid briefed Governor Sindh regarding the problems faced by Water and Sewerage Board.

Governor Sindh said that Karachi the heart and economic backbone of Pakistan is growing rapidly and along with the city the problems increase. He thanked President Asif Ali Zardari and MQM chief Altaf Hussain for their efforts in this regard.

He said that Dumlottee wells are expected to be reactivated soon. Expressing that Dhabeji Pumping Complex is the largest pumping station in Asia, he announced a residential scheme for the employees of Karachi Water & Sewerage Board, besides provision of 2 ambulances.

He praised the efforts of M.D KW&SB Misbahuddin Farid for the betterment of the board. He said that due to President Asif Ali Zardari’s personal interest KIV and SIII, projects have been approved and we are looking forward to complete them in record time.
