Islamabad: Joint Action Committee Private Schools and Collages Associations Islamabad has urged the government especially parliamentarians to review the bill of Islamabad Capital Territory Private Educational Intuitions (Registration and Regulation) Act 2012.
The representatives of Joint Action Committee Private Schools and Collages Associations Islamabad including Zafran Elahi, Dr. Babar, Raja Arshad Mahmood , Chaudhry Umair Ullah, Malik Abrar and Dr. Abdul Rauf stated in a press conference at National Press Club(NPC) on Tuesday.
“We were presenting the amended reviewed bill to government and parliamentarians as we have consulted with stakeholders of society” they said .
They alleged that government had passed bill from National Assembly without consultation of private Education sector representatives and now bill was presented in Senate. They requested senate members to not pass the bill from the house.
Responding another question they said that government was not providing facilities to private education sector and added that local administration were also creating hurdles.
“If we were avoided or our demands not fulfilled we have right to go Supreme Court (SC) and hold protest against the government’ they added.
