JI leader criticized Malik stance

Islamabad: Naib Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan and Ex-Senator Prof. Khurshid Ahmad has expressed his shock and disappointment on the report that Interior Minister Abdul Rehman Malik has claimed that India has now allowed Pakistani team to cross examine Indian witnesses in the Bombay case.

In a statement Prof. Khurshid stressed that as a matter of fact the key accused Ajmal Kasab has already been executed and the case is now legally and politically closed. He said it would be unwise to enter into this case which has been nothing more than farce and confer some kind of legitimacy to it by falling into the Indian trap to cross examine witnesses when the accused has also been executed.
