Kashmiris yearning for final settlement of Kashmir dispute

March 7, 2019

Srinagar, March 07, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, has said that Kashmiris are yearning for final settlement of the lingering Kashmir dispute. Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement issued in Srinagar said the people of Kashmir want final solution of the dispute to put an end to the uncertainty as it is the root cause of immense their sufferings.

He said the unresolved Kashmir dispute has been a greatest tragedy humanity ever witnessed, adding, New Delhi is entirely responsible for pushing the Kashmir youth to the wall and continues to ignore the basic reality and ground situation.

Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai said Kashmiris are being punished just for demanding their basic rights but arrest and detention is an integral part of India’s apartheid system under which Kashmir is governed with a separate set of laws.

He said Kashmir dispute should be settled in its historical perspective and mutual respect among the involved parties. He demanded release of all socio-political leaders and workers arrested recently, saying that they were detained for their political beliefs.
