Thatta, Sindh: The caravan of Jeay Sindh Tehreek, led by its chairman Dr. Safdar Sarki, which started Long March from Jacobabad on November 30 last, reached at Thatta on Sunday, the 23rd day.
The Long March was started against disputed dual local government system and for the rights of Sindh.
Addressing a big crowd, who received the caravan, Dr. Safdar Sarki said economy of Pakistan depends on Sindh but the people of this province are faced with hunger, unemployment and other problems.
He said the Pirs, Mirs and big feudal lords have made the life of people miserable. He said division of Sindh will not be allowed at any cost.
JI delegation visits Churches, meets Christian leaders
Karachi: A delegation of JamaateIslami Minority Wing led by JI Karachi Ameer Muhammad Hussain Mahenti visited different Churches of Karachi and presented flower bouquets to Christian leaders on Sunday and offered Christmas greetings.
JI delegation met with Bishop of Church of Pakistan Sadiq Daniel, Arch Bishop of Catholic Church, Bishop Joseph Quads and Bishop of Philadelphia Pantie-Castle Samuel George.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahenti said JI respects the Christian Community and shares their events. “Islam teaches us lesson of love and affection.
He said interfaith harmony is the need of our but unfortunately international powers and their allies through a planned conspiracy are creating misunderstandings among the people of different religions.
The JI delegation comprised of Muslim Pervez, minority wing leader Sohan Khan advocate, Saleem Michael, Pervez Barkat, Rayyaz Gul, Samuel Nazeer, Pervez Gill and Ashfaque Muzaffar.
