Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information, Public Relations and Parliamentary Leader of ANP Mian Iftikhar Hussain has said that he was against all types of crimes and he has raised voice against it on all forums.
He added that the criminals for that had formed an organization against him in his home town Pabbi. The criminal, he said had launched a special campaign against him in the previous elections.
This he stated while addressing a grand Jirga of “Khattak Nama” of his constituency PK-12 which called on him regarding the law and order situation in their area at Peshawar the other day.
Besides, Commissioner Peshawar Division Tariq Jameel, Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Muhammad Javed Marwat, DPO Nowshera Muhammad Hussain, elites of the area Iqbal Hussain Khattak, Jehan Zeb Khan and Noor Bahadur also addressed on the occasion.
Mian Iftikhar maintained that kidnapping for ransom was heinous crime and it could not be tolerated at any cost. He assured that the government would do all its best to eradicate crimes from the province. He appealed the masses to help the government in eradicating crimes abstain from taking law in their own hands.
The Minister continued, the problem of law and order in Khattak Nama was due to its borders with FATA, therefore the administration and elites of the tribal as well as settled areas would be taken on board for durable peace in the area.
He however declared that the criminals were criminals and they have no particular tribe or caste, assuring that whosoever was involved in crimes would be dealt harshly.
The Information minister was of the view that criminals from outside could not come for crimes without the support of locals, therefore, people should keep vigil on locals having contacts with the criminals.
He on this occasion strictly directed the divisional, district and FATA administration to take immediate steps for maintaining law and order in the settled areas adjacent to FATA and keep the elites of both areas into full confidence.
