MoUs Acting President confirms ratification of 3 Pak-India agreements

Islamabad: Acting President Syed Nayyar Hussain Bokhari has confirmed Pakistan’s ratification of three Agreements and a Memorandum of understanding MoU.

The agreements include Cooperation and Mutual Assistance in Customs Matters Agreement, Bilateral Cooperation Agreement on Mutual Recognition between The Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority PSQCA and Bureau of Indian Standards BIS.

And the Agreement on Redressal of Trade Grievances between India and Pakistan that were signed during the 7th Round of Pakistan and India Commerce Secretaries’ Level Talks held on September 2021, 2012 at Islamabad.

The Acting President has also confirmed ratification of MoU on Cultural Cooperation between Pakistan National Council of Arts PNCA and Indian Council for Cultural Relations ICCR which was signed on 8th September 2012 during the Indian External Affairs Minister’s visit to Pakistan.

The Cabinet of Pakistan had accorded its approval to ratification of these Protocols on 31 October 2012.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a Summary requested the Prime Minister to forward the Instruments of Ratification for President’s approval and affixation of his green seal.

Accordingly, acting upon the advice of the Prime Minister, the Acting President confirmed the ratification of three agreements and one MoU by affixing his seal.
