Non-formal literacy centers to be established in Sindh: Pir Mazhar

Karachi: Senior Provincial Minister for Education & Literacy Pir Mazhar ul Haq has directed Secretary Education Sindh to establish non formal literacy centers for those children who do not go to school for certain reasons.

This he said while talking to the children who worked at tea hotel at Mohallah Gharibabad in Dadu City. On this occasion the children working there told the Minister for Education that they were unable to get education due to poverty.

Minister for Education Pir Mazhar ul Haq directed the District Education Officer Dadu Sher Zaman Soomro to establish three non-formal literacy centre at Machi Market, Gharibabad and Marck Pur Mohallah UC 4 to provide education to these children.

Minister requested the retired teachers to perform voluntary services at these non-formal literacy centers so that these children would be able to get education. On this occasion Senior Minister mingled with the children working at the hotel and took tea with them. He also watched ongoing one-day match between Pakistan and India with great interest.
