Panther’s Party activists protest against authorities’ anti-people policies in Jammu

Jammu, July 22, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Panthers Party activists in a protest demonstration in Srinagar have expressed concern over the anti-people policies of the authorities. Spearheaded by Harsh Dev Singh, JKNPP Chairman, and other leaders, the activists staged vociferous protest demonstration at Exhibition Ground Jammu against the rise in prices of petrol, diesel and gas besides other essential commodities during the last few years of the BJP regime. They also torched an effigy of the BJP government to express their resentment over the current inflation trends of fuel and gas in the country.

They took out a procession from Press Club and started march towards the Civil Secretariat but were restrained by a huge contingent of Indian forces’ personnel enroute resulting in minor scuffles with the cops. The protestors raised slogans against price rise and the BJP government. Speaking to media, Harsh Dev Singh said that inflation had become a benchmark of the BJP’s governance and looting people by burning holes in their pockets has become synonymous with Saffron party. Others who spoke on the occasion included Rajesh Padgotra, Gagan Pratap Singh and Khajoor Singh.
