Plantation drive ‘Plant for Pakistan Day’ to begin on Sunday
All arrangements have been finalized to hold plantation drive ‘Plant for Pakistan Day’ on Sunday, during which 1.5 million saplings will be planted all over the country.
Briefing media in Islamabad, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam said the drive is an important step to save Pakistan from becoming a desert.
He said Prime Minister Imran Khan will initiate this project in Islamabad while the chief ministers will lead it in their respective provinces.
Forest departments have set up 190 sapling distribution points all over the country to make the drive a success.
