Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed all departments concerned to intensify rain and flood relief operations in different parts of the country, especially in Balochistan.

In a statement on Wednesday, he expressed grief and sorrow over loss of precious human lives and property due to rains and floods.

The Prime Minister directed National and Provincial Disaster Management Authorities to take immediate action in Quetta, Qila Saifullah, Zhob, Pishin, Harnai , Khushnoob, Qamaruddin and Muslim Bagh areas of Balochistan.

He also directed for effective coordination in relief and rescue operations in rain-affected areas of Punjab Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh especially in Karachi.

The Prime Minister also directed the Ministers and Members of Parliament from the affected areas to assist in the rescue and relief measures.
