Saghar thanks UNHCHR for raising voice in favour of IOK people
Islamabad, September 12, 2019 (PPI-OT): The Vice President of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, has thanked the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, for raising a strong voice against the continued Indian brutalities in occupied Kashmir.
Mehmood Ahmed Saghar in a statement issued in Islamabad said that the address of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights at the 42nd session of the UN Human Rights Council meeting in Geneva had generated a wave of optimism among millions of Kashmiris who continued to suffer due to curfew and communication blockade in occupied Kashmir.
The DFP leader said that India had unleashed a reign of terror in occupied Kashmir where people, caged in their own homes, were facing food and medicine shortages. Urging the world powers to play role to end the inhuman siege on Kashmiris, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar said that humanitarian crisis in occupied Kashmir was a great challenge to the world conscience.
