Later, they added, it was disaffiliated and got affiliation with the University of Karachi.
They submitted that after its affiliation with the Karachi University, its management conducted the exams of the eighth semester and they become eligible for the award of the degree. However, before they could be awarded degree PTC again disaffiliated and got affiliation with Hamdard University.
They submitted that after disaffiliation with Karachi University, the institute refused to award the degree. The petitioners maintained that they have passed exam, successfully.
They submitted that PTC was not helping them to get issuance of degree to them, instead it was insisting for their reappearing in the exams.
They prayed the court to direct Karachi University to issue the degree of polymer engineering course to them.
Headed by Chief Justice Mushir Alam, the division bench observed that counsel for the Hamdard University was not in attendance of the court.
