Islamabad: The Senate was informed Friday that sufficient amount of Urea Fertilizer is available in the country to meet the demand of the Rabi season 2012-13.
Advisor for Industries Muhammad Basharat Raja told the House during question hour that 1.23 million tons of urea fertilizer and 0.359 million tons of Di-Ammonium Phosphate stock is present in the country.
He said 95 percent of the fertilizer is used in the form of urea and DAP.
To a question, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Malik Ammad Khan informed the House that 28 hunting licenses were approved by the Prime Minister for the foreign dignitaries from Gulf countries for the hunting season 2010-11.
He said these permissions were issued to help improve relations with the leadership of these countries as has been a practice for the past several years.
Meanwhile, Leader of the House Jahangir Badr on behalf of Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Khurshid Ahmad Shah presented before the House five reports of the Council of Islamic Ideology.
These include The Annual Reports, 1997-98 to 2008-09, The Review Report of the Criminal Procedure Code, 1898, The Review Report of the Civil Procedure Code, 1908, Qawaneen Ki Islami Tashkeel (Volume-I) and (Volume-IV) and The Report on Islah-e-Qaidiaan and Jail Khanajaat.
