Karachi: On the directives of Provincial Minister for Youth Affairs Sindh Syed Faisal Ali Subzwari the schedule of “Thar Youth Festival” has been extended by one week and now the festival would be held from 17th to 19th January in order to ensure maximum participation of youth for flung areas of Sindh.
The aim of holding the youth festival in Thar to ensure maximum participation of talented youth from remote areas of interior Sindh who are willing attend the festival despite limited sources. The festival will provide platform to youngsters to compete to show their skills.
In this connection, Syed Faisal Subzwari chaired a meeting to review the arrangement of ‘Thar Youth Festival’. He directed the officers to ensure merit during festival, adding neutral jury is pivotal for the success of the event.
Secretary youth affairs Shoaib Ahmed, director youth affairs Khursheed Ali Sheikh were present.
The festival is divided in six different categories: debate, singing, painting, calligraphy, photography and art & crafts competition. The cash prizes of Rs25000, Rs15000 and Rs10000 would be awarded to first, second and third position holders, respectively.
