Yasir enters Florida Open quarters

Karachi: Lahore based third seeded Yasir Butt recovered from a set down to beat English qualifier Tom Pashley to confirm his place in the quarterfinals of Florida State Open – the PSA World Tour Challenger 10 squash event at the Lifetime Athletic Club in Boca Raton, USA.

Yasir Butt took 42 minutes to dispatch Pashley recording a 511, 119, 115, 115 victory. He will now face unseeded South African Clinton Leeuw, who survived a 95minute marathon encounter against Jamaican qualifier Christopher Binnie before recording a 611, 118, 118, 811, 1412 triumph.

Farhan Zaman, the 19yearold world No93, failed to join compatriot Yasir Butt in the last eight going down 119, 118, 117 to lower ranked Australian Scott Arnold.
