Islamabad: The Higher Education Commission (HEC), in collaboration with the Aga Khan University Examination Board, conducted a three-day Master Trainers Workshop on “Testing and Assessment” at Balochistan University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Khuzdar.
The aim of the workshop was to equip faculty members and staff of University’s Examination Department with latest techniques and research on testing and assessment of students for the improvement of semester examination system.
Since learning of students cannot be measured effectively in the absence of proper training, Khuzdar University had intense demand to conduct this workshop so that semester examination system can be implemented in letter and spirit. To enrich the learning process, HEC arranges skilled resource persons from AKUEB for such workshops who share their experience and knowledge gathered from latest academic content and research.
Dr. Amin Rehmani and Javed Ali Chaudhry delivered sessions at doorstep of Khuzdar University instead of security issues and trained 41 academic and administrative staff members.
Sher Ahmed Qambrani, Registrar/Acting Vice Chancellor appreciated the role of HEC in promoting the Semester Examination System and providing opportunity for arrangement of Master Trainers workshop.
Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Executive Director HEC, chaired the closing session from Islamabad through video conference link. He said that HEC is committed to promote higher education sector in the far-flung areas of Pakistan. He urged the participants to continue the learning process and cascade the same to their fellow colleagues.
