QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has said that after successful completion of first phase of assistance of earthquake hit people in Awaran government is committed for their rehabilitation. He said Rupees 7 billion have been estimated for construction of houses of affectees in Awaran and provincial needs financial assistance in this connection.
He said while talking to Honorary Consul General of Japan Syed Nadeem Shah who called on him here Tuesday.
Chief Minister told that 30 thousand houses are required to be building for affectees in Awaran and provincial government was taking all necessary in this connection. However it needs financial assistance.
Japanese Honorary Consul General of Japan assured every possible cooperation on behalf of Japan.
Expressing deep interest in Pasni fish Harbour he said Japan was already providing financial assistance for its functioning.
Chief Minister said that a feasibility was being prepared in this regard and hopefully work on would start within a month. He also recounted measures his government took against corruption.
Japanese Consul General said that Japan will provide full cooperation for education and other fields in Balochistan.
