Karachi, May 10: An international expert will train Pakistan journalists on newsroom management and news editing in Karachi.
Ranga Kalansooriya, Regional Advisor for Asia, International Media Support (IMS), will hold a training of trainers on journalism skills arranged by Pakistan Press Foundation (PPF) in Karachi from May 11-13, 2016.
Noted journalist Kamal Siddiqi will be the local experts of the training which is part of a major project “Support to Media in Pakistan” supported by DANIDA, the development arm of the Danish Government, and implemented through Pakistani media development groups with technical assistance of International Media Support (IMS).
The project aims at improving media professionalism through better journalism practices and promoting a professional environment for journalists. 15 journalists from different areas of Pakistan would attend the training of trainers program and they would train more journalists in their areas and in this way 180 journalists of Pakistan would be benefited from the training.
