Accident: (20 killed, many wounded in head-on collision on Fateh Jang road)


ISLAMABAD: Over 20 people have been killed and many others wounded in a head on collision between a bus and a passenger van on Fateh Jang road in Rawalpindi.

According to police officials, ambulances have reached the site of the accident to shift the injured to hospitals. According to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) spokesperson Dr Ayesha, the hospital has so far received three dead bodies and 11 injured persons including three women and one child.

She said the condition of these injured is critical. Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif has expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of lives in tragic road accident at Fateh Jang road near to tarnol chowk Islamabad.

The Prime minister directed for immediate rescue efforts and best medical treatment facilities for the injured. He extended condolences with the families of the deceased.
