ISLAMABAD: Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz on Tuesday said that there is vast potential of expanding cooperation between Pakistan and Belarus in trade, investment and joint ventures.
Addressing the Pakistan-Belarus Business and Investment Forum here, he also called for fast track action on understanding reached between entrepreneurs of the two countries and MoUs and agreements signed on Tuesday.
He said our economies are complementary but the level of trade between the two countries is insignificant, which needs to be enhanced.
Sartaj Aziz said the road map for cooperation signed on Tuesday provide very good framework for fruitful cooperation between the two countries and provide opportunities to the private sector for joint ventures.
The Advisor said that Government of Pakistan is committed to protect and encourage foreign investment. He said Board of Investment is mandated to facilitate local and foreign investors. He said it will extend all possible assistance and facilitation to investors from Belarus.
