ISLAMABAD: Protest rallies and demonstrations have been held across Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) to condemn the decision of US State Department to declare Hizb-ul-Mujahideen leader Syed Salahuddin a global terrorist.
The participants were holding banners and placards inscribed with anti-American, anti-Indian and pro freedom slogans.
They raised high-pitched slogans in favor of Syed Salahuddin and Hizb-ul-Mujahideen. Meanwhile, AJK President Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan and Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider have also strongly condemned US decision.
In their separate statements, they said Hizb-ul-Mujahideen leadership has never been involved in terrorist activities and purely striving for the freedom of Occupied Kashmir from Indian clutches.
They termed the move an outcome of a nexus between American President Donald Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.[related_post themes="text" id="316428"]
