ISLAMABAD: The cases of kidnapping, robbery and other street crimes are on the rise in rural areas of the federal capital, particularly Bhara Kahu, Tarnol and their vicinities.
According to police sources, three kidnapping cases in the area of Bhara Kahu have been registered within a week and recently an FIR was lodged by Shakeel-ur-Rehman, a native of mohalla Syedain (Bhara Kahu) that Hammad and Qasier have kidnapped his 22-year-old daughter.
The initiatives taken by police are just limited to the FIRs, no further inquires or investigations are carried out to capture the criminals or recover the missing girls.
Meanwhile, in other rural areas of the federal capital including Tarlai Kalan, Taramri Chowk, Alipur and Tarnol , the cases of kidnapping, robbery and dacoity, mobile phone snatching and other street crimes are reportedly on the rise, however police seem to be helpless to overcome these crimes.
