ISLAMABAD: Punjab Chief Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif has directed the Provincial Cabinet Committee for Flood to launch the relief activities in the affected villages in Southern Punjab on war footings.
In his directives conveyed to the Committee from London on Tuesday, the Chief Minister also directed to take immediate measures for protection of people, inhabiting near the river banks.
He asked the Committee to ensure the hundred percent evacuation from the localities nearby the rivers. He said all necessary items must be available in abundance at the relief camps, setup for the affected villages. He also directed to send additional boats to the affected villages of Southern Punjab and also setup medical camps along the relief camps there.
