Islamabad: Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has said a commission is being worked out to ensure implementation of Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) laws.
Talking to media In Islamabad today [Wednesday], he said matter relating to Geo TV is under consideration of PEMRA committee and the government does not want to interrupt it’s working.
He said decision of the committee will be final. He said PEMRA has given its point of view on the matter.
He said Pakistan Army has no political agenda as a national institution. He urged media to unveil the faces who are trying to indulge army in the politics.
The minister said Commission regarding Media Code of Conduct will be constituted after PEMRA recommendations.
He said taking all media owners on board is his responsibility regarding media code of conduct.
