ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court on Tuesday overruled the order of Sindh High Court that issued directives to vacate and demolish Moon Garden apartment in Karachi.
The apex court also accepted for hearing the petition filed by builder and residents of Moon Garden apartment. The Supreme Court ordered Abdul Razzaq Khamosh, the builder of the apartment, to deposit Rs 10 crore to the court as surety for the residents.
Talking to media outside the Supreme Court building, counsel of Khamosh said that the court ordered to deposit Rs 5 crore cash and remaining Rs 5 crore as bank guarantee. On the occasion, the builder said he would implement the apex court’s order. Later, Khamosh was arrested and shifted to local police station in Islamabad.
