Islamabad: A meeting was held in Islamabad on Saturday to review the security measures for schools.
The Inspector General Islamabad Police Tahir Alam told the meeting that an emergency alert system has been installed in all schools which will enable the schools to contact security forces within seconds.
The meeting decided to remove shrubs and trees in the surroundings of schools. It also decided that teachers and students will be imparted special training to cope with any emergency like situation.
Meanwhile, security search of six hundred and fifty three public and private schools has been completed in Islamabad.
Thirty-two Police teams have been set up to review security arrangements in the schools opening from Monday.
