Islamabad: The Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet has decided to immediately release 60,000 tons of wheat for the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan. The committee met in Islamabad on Friday with Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in the chair. A committee headed by Federal Minister Abdul Qadir Baloch will be formed to oversee the matter.
The ECC approved a subsidy of 150 million rupees to stabilise prices of urea. The Committee decided to lift ban on import of livestock from the United States, Canada, Belgium and the Netherlands. Ban on import of CNG kits has also been lifted.
