Islamabad: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said that government is giving final touches to Vision 2025. He stated this while chairing Leaders Conference in Islamabad on Thursday. He said that implementation of this long term development program will put Pakistan among the ten top performing economies.
Ahsan Iqbal said the government has taken measures for economic stability. Genuine and accessible targets have been set for development.
Addressing the Leaders Summit, US Ambassador to Pakistan Richard Olson appreciated the steps taken by the present government for bringing the country’s economy back on track. He said his country is committed to strengthening bilateral economic ties.
The Ambassador said the two countries are developing a Joint Plan to promote trade and investment over next five years. This plan, he said, will build on our existing efforts to increase trade and investment ties.
Olson said Washington is also working with the Pakistani government on development programs that create new business opportunities and improve the lives of Pakistani citizens at all levels.
