ISLAMABAD: The government has accelerated relief operation in flood affected areas of Chitral and relief items are being distributed among the affected families.
According to a report, five army helicopters are busy in dropping food items and medicines in the affected areas. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has sent twenty ton food items to Chitral for distribution among the affected people. Pakistan Army is actively carrying out rescue and relief activities in flood affected areas of Chitral.
According to ISPR, sixty people were rescued on Wednesday morning by MI-17 helicopter in Korang and Bohni areas and shifted to safer places. Those rescued included patients, tourists, elderly people and children.
