Islamabad: State Minister for Capital Administration & Development Division (CA&DD) Barrister Usman Ibrahim attended the concluding ceremony of a “Four-Week Summer Science Camp at the National Institute of Science and Technical Education (NISTE) here Friday.
He appreciated the Science Summer Camp and said that it is a very timely and relevant activity to encourage the students to learn new things.
The Minister said that such Science Summer Camps and vacation programs gave students an opportunity to learn about science through interactive activities which were very important in this age of science and technology.
This Science Summer Camp is the 1st Project of NISTE, an apex body working at federal level, under the administrative control of CA&DD, for children of the government employees.
The Minister emphasized that to maintain the pace of educational development, CA&DD, NISTE and NGOs should collaborate to work on such projects/programs which would help in the capacity building of students.
At the end, Barrister Usman Ibrahim distributed prizes among the best performers in the summer camp, and congratulated the Summer Project team on their efforts for the development of program.
He hoped that sharing of ideas, using new teaching methodology and class discussions would prove to be effective in the development of cognitive sense in their young minds.
The ceremony was also attended by the DG NISTE and senior officials of the Ministry.
