ISLAMABAD: Funeral prayers in absentia for late Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz were offered at Faisal Mosque here on Saturday.
Besides thousands of others, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz attended the prayers. Later talking to media, Sartaj Aziz paid rich tributes to the late King for his services for the unity of Muslim Ummah.
He said the late King was a sincere and close friend of Pakistan. He always stood by Pakistan in difficult times including the natural calamities, he added.
The advisor expressed the confidence that Pak-Saudi relations will further gain strength in the tenure of King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz.
