Islamabad: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has expressed the hope that the government’s dialogue policy will bring durable peace to the region especially in FATA.
Talking to UK High Commissioner Philip Barton in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said the government is trying to expedite the dialogue process.
He said Pakistan will continue to work closely with new Afghan government for establishing lasting peace in the region.
About Pak-UK relations, the minister said decades-old political and economic relations between the two countries have flowered into special relationship.
He praised the institutional support of UK in capacity building of civil armed forces of Pakistan.
The UK High Commissioner appreciated the government’s commitment to put Pakistan on the road to peace and development. He also lauded the recently-announced National Internal Security Policy.
