ISLAMABAD: At the World Health Assembly in Geneva, Pakistan has called for equity in health sector to ensure quality health services for the poor.
The call was made by Minister of State for National Health Services, Saira Afzal Tarar while addressing the session in Geneva on Monday. The Minister also shared national health insurance model recently introduced by Pakistan to provide better health-cover to the poor people.
She said Pakistan has taken effective measures to eradicate polio and address security issues in this regard. She said a 10-year national action plan on mother and child health has also been evolved.
