WASHINGTON/ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has arrived in Washington on a five day visit, where he will meet civil and military leadership of the United Sates.
Director General Inter-Services Public relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Asim Saleem Bajwa has said the visit of the army chief bears great significance under present evolving situation.
Talking to media in Washington he said matters relating to the regional security and stability will be discussed in the meetings. He said that Pakistan supports reconciliation efforts in Afghanistan with full sincerity.
He said the army chief will also visit Brazil. The Army Chief will spend a day with Pakistani troops serving for UN peacekeeping mission in Ivory Coast.
