Islamabad: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) chief Maulana Fazal Ur Rehman has said Pakistan stands by Saudi Arabia in the current Middle East crisis.
Addressing a conference in Islamabad on Saturday, he said the Muslims will lay down their lives for the protection of the two holy mosques.
Maulana Fazal Ur Rehman said the Yemeni conflict is not sectarian in nature. The rebels there have overthrown a legitimate government recognized by the international community.
He said major big Islamic countries including Pakistan, Turkey and Malaysia should play their role for the restoration of the ousted Yemeni government.
Meanwhile,Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Mohammad Yousaf has said Pakistan will never compromise on the defense of territorial integrity and sovereignty of Saudi Arabia.
He said we are ready to fight for the protection of Harmain al-Sharifain.
He said the parliamentary resolution on Yemen crisis is voice of the people of Pakistan.
