Kashmiris observe martyrs’ day

Islamabad: Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and the world over observed the Kashmir Martyrs’ Day on Sunday. They will pledge to continue the mission of their martyrs till the achievement of the inalienable right to self-determination.

The day will be marked by complete shutdown in occupied Kashmir and a march towards Naqashband Sahib in Srinagar where martyrs of 1931 are buried. It was on this day in 1931 when Dogra troops killed 22 Kashmiris, one after the other, outside the Central Jail in Srinagar.

In Azad Kashmir, the day dawned with special prayers in mosques for integrity, solidarity of Pakistan and early liberation of the occupied Kashmir. Quran Khawani and Fateha Khawani was held for shuhada-e-Kashmir.
