Islamabad: Opposition leader in the National Assembly (NA) Khurshid Shah on Saturday lauded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s decision to attend Indian PM-elect Narendra Modi’s oath taking ceremony on May 26. While talking to a private TV channel Khurshid Shah said that Prime Minister’s visit to India will have a positive impact on the regional situation. Nawaz-Modi meeting is better for both country.
The opposition leader further stated that talks over conflicting issues would continue with India but bilateral ties should improve first. On the other hand Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) Chief Maulana Fazalur Rehman has also supported Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s decision to attend the oath-taking ceremony of Indian Prime Minister-elect Narendra Modi.
