ISLAMABAD: Election campaign for the second phase of local government polls in Punjab and Sindh ends at twelve tonight.
The candidates are making last ditch efforts to drum up support. The candidates are making contacts with voters through door to door campaign, corner meetings and rallies. The polling will be held on Thursday.
In Punjab polling will be held in twelve districts. These include Sargodha, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Attock, Jhelum, Mianwali, Chiniot, Toba Tek Singh, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Sheikhupura and Khanewal.
In Sindh, polling will be held in fourteen districts. These include Hyderabad, Tando Mohammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Matiari, Dadu, Jamshoro, Badin, Thatta, Sajawal, Shaheed Benazirabad, Naushehroferoze, Mirpur Khas, Umerkot and Tharparkar. The polling in Sanghar has been postponed due to security reasons. A total of over twenty million voters will exercise their right of franchise in the two provinces.
