Islamabad: While chairing a meeting regarding the matter of cost over-run in completion of G/11-3 project of Pakistan Housing Authority (PHA), Minister of State for Housing & Works Barrister Usman Ibrahim directed to constitute a committee to examine the matter of cost escalation.
The Minister said that the government does not want to make it burden for the allotees and final decision would be taken after the committee’s recommendations.
The special committee consists of six members – 3 from allotees and 3 from PHAF members – who will thoroughly look into the details that whether additional cost over the project G/11-3 ‘E’ type apartments is justified.
It may also be mentioned that the project was started back in 2008 and it was supposed to accomplish in 2011 but currently around 8% work is still incomplete. The newly constituted committee will meet coming week.
The meeting was attended by Joint Secretary Housing & Works, concerned officials of Pakistan Housing Authority (PHAF) and allotees of G/11-3.
