ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has said that public debate on subjudice matters should be avoided.
Talking to a news channel on Monday, he said the forensic report of NA-122 was demanded by the Election Tribunal, which would decide about the case and it was not appropriate to comment on the report before the final decision of the tribunal.
He said after the judgment it would be concluded for whom the forensic report of NADRA was a set-back. He said NADRA in its report did not mention that the votes were bogus or fake but only informed that the votes could not be verified.
He said the reason of non-verification of these votes was the standard of ink, which was used during the elections. The minister said the international community acknowledged that these general elections were far better than the previous ones due to printing of pictures and CNIC numbers of voters on voter lists, verification of the lists, establishment of an independent election commission and setting up of a neutral interim set-up for the election.
