ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly Standing Committee on National Food Security and Research on Tuesday discussed the matter regarding re-planning of National Agricultural Research Centre (NARC) site for revenue generation for government and Capital Development Authority.
The committee met with MNA Malik Shakir Bashir Awan in the chair. The Committee also considered the interim progress of the sub-Committee regarding sub-standard wheat imported from Ukraine.
It unanimously agreed to extend the time period of the Sub-Committee for further three months to achieve an appropriate and result oriented investigation outcome.
A meeting of National Assembly Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat was also held on Tuesday with MNA Rana Mohammad Hayat Khan in the chair. The Committee discussed Pakistan Baitul Mal (Amendment) Bill, 2013.
It directed Pakistan Baitul Mal to submit a list of those hundred patients which were able to get their treatment on huge amount during last year. The Committee also discussed the inquiry report regarding construction of Cardiac Centre in PIMS.
It expressed strong displeasure over the passive attitude of the concerned authorities for not fixing responsibility for making huge embezzlement in the construction of Cardiac Centre.
