ISLAMABAD: All Pakistan Annual Naat competition was held here at Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation’s (PBC) Headquarters on Thursday.
Naat Khawan under the categories of U-15 and from 15 to 25 years of age boys and girls who had secured prominent positions in the regional contests took part in the competition. The event was jointly organized by Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television.
Of the U-15 boys, Ihsanullah Khan from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa secured the first position, Mohammad Daniyal from Punjab came second and Mohammad Zeeshan from Sindh got the third position. From the girls under the same age group, Syeda Ghausia Kazmi from KP stood first, Ansa Nadiya Mariam from Gilgit Baltistan came second, and Ansa Mah Noor was declared third.
In the boys category of 15 to 25 years of age, the first position was grabbed by Mohammad Shakir from KP, second by Mohammad Hassan from Sindh, and the third by Mohammad Bilal Noor from Punjab.
Of the girls in this category, Ansa Zeenat Alam respresenting Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir stood first, Ansa Mafiya Maqbool from Sindh came second and Syed Kiran Bukhari from KP got the third position.
Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Mohammad Yousuf who was chief guest on the occasion gave away the prizes and medals among the winners.
The first prize winner was given Rs 15000, second 12000 and the third position holder was given 10, 000. All the other participants were given Rs 8000 each. Nuskha-e-Quran and books of Seeratun Nabi (SAW) were also given to the participants. The Minister also announced Rs 5000 each for every participant of the annual Naat competition.
He said the Muslims should prove through their character that Islam is a religion for entire world and not for particular nation or region. God Medals were given to winners on behalf Syed Abdur Rehman Foundation.
