Nawaz Sharif announces judicial commission to probe allegations

Islamabad: Prime Minister Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif has announced to establish a high-level judicial commission to probe into the allegation leveled against him and his family. The commission would be headed by a retired judge of the supreme court of Pakistan.

Prime Minister Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif in his televised speech to nation on Tuesday advised the people who are levelling old allegations against him and his family to record their statements before the commission and prove their allegations.

I and my family are being politically victimized, said the prime minister, adding some people are repeating 25 years old allegations against me and my family. He said his father began his business in Lahore many years before the creation of Pakistan and laid foundations of Ittefaq Foundries, which after the creation of Pakistan became a strong and stable organization. He said on the 2nd January 1972, the Bhutto government nationalize the Ittefaq Foundries, but his father did not lose heart and courage.

He said this commission would submit its recommendation after a through probe.
