PAF (GOVERNMENT PROMOTES TWO AIR OFFICERS AS AIR MARSHAL AND SIX AS AIR VICE MARSHAL)


ISLAMABAD:Government has promoted Air Vice Marshal Asad Abdur Rehman Khan Lodhi and Air Vice Marshal Mohammad Iqbal to the rank of Air Marshal and Air Commodore Salman Ahsan Bukhari,Air Commodore Rizwan Pasha, Air Commodore Usaid-Ur-Rehman Usmani,

Air Commodore Syed Noman Ali, Air Commodore Zaheer Ahmad Babar, and Air Commodore Javad Saeed, to the rank of Air Vice Marshal.

Air Marshal Asad Abdur Rehman Khan Lodhi was commissioned in GD (P) Branch of Pakistan Air Force in March, 1982. He is a qualified Flying Instructor and during his illustrious career, he has commanded a Fighter Squadron, an Operational Air Base and a Regional Air Command.

In his staff appointments, he has served as Director Strategic Operations, Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Operation, Research and Development), Director General at Ministry of Defence Production and Director General Projects at Air Headquarters Islamabad. He has also served as Defence Attaché to Japan.

He is a graduate of Combat Commanders’ School, Air War College and National Defence University. He holds Master’s degrees in Strategic Studies and Defence and Strategic Studies. Presently, he is serving as Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Support) at Air Headquarters Islamabad. He is a recipient of Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) and Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military).

Air Marshal Mohammad Iqbal was commissioned in GD (P) Branch of Pakistan Air Force in June, 1982. During his illustrious career, he has commanded a Fighter Squadron, an Operational Air Base and a Regional Air Command.

He has also served as Chief Project Director Weapon System Management (F-16) and Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Operations) at Air Headquarters Islamabad. He has also served as Director General Media at ISI Headquarters. Presently, he is serving as Director General Air Force Strategic Command at Air Headquarters Islamabad. He has also served as Air Attaché to China.

He is a graduate of Combat Commanders’ School, National Defence University and Air Command and Staff College (Jordan). He holds Master’s degree in War Studies. He is a recipient of Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military), Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military) and PLA Medal Peoples Republic of China.

Air Vice Marshal Salman Ahsan Bukhari was commissioned in GD (P) Branch of Pakistan Air Force in November, 1985. He is a qualified flying instructor. During his illustrious career, he has commanded a Fighter Squadron, Fighter Wing and an Operational Air Base.

In his staff appointments, he has served as Sector Commander at Central Sector Command Mushaf and Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Security) at Air Headquarters Islamabad. He has also served as Air Attaché to China. He is a graduate of Combat Commanders’ School, Air War College, National Defence University and Air Command and Staff College (USA).

He holds Master’s degrees in Strategic Studies and Military Operational Art & Science from USA. He is also a recipient of Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military) and PLA Commemorative Medal Peoples Republic of China.

Air Vice Marshal Rizwan Pasha was commissioned in Engineering Branch of Pakistan Air Force in January, 1985. During his illustrious career, he has commanded an Engineering Wing.

In his staff appointments, he has served as Senior Staff Officer Engineering Southern Air Command, Director Weapon System Management (Mirage & JF-17) at Air Headquarters Islamabad and Managing Director Mirage Rebuild Factory at Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Kamra.

He is a graduate of Air War College. He holds Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering and a Master’s degree in Strategic Studies. He is a recipient of Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) and Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military).

Air Vice Marshal Usaid-Ur-Rehman Usmani was commissioned in GD (P) Branch of Pakistan Air Force in April, 1986. He is a qualified flying instructor. During his illustrious career, he has commanded a Flying Wing and an Operational Air Base. In his staff appointments, he has served as Director (Plans) at Air Headquarters Islamabad.

He is also served as Directing Staff at National defence University. He is a graduate of Combat Commanders’ School, Air War College and National Defence University. He holds Master’s degrees in Strategic Studies and National Security and War Studies. He is also a recipient of Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) and Tamgha-i- Imtiaz (Military).

Air Vice Marshal Syed Noman Ali, was commissioned in GD (P) Branch Pakistan of Air Force in April, 1986. He is a qualified flying instructor. During his illustrious career, he has commanded Combat Commanders’ School and an Operational Air Base.

In his staff appointments, he has served as Director Operations and Personal Staff Officer to Chief of the Air Staff at Air Headquarters Islamabad. He is a graduate of Combat Commanders’ School, Air War College,Air War College (USA), and National Defence University. He holds Master’s degrees in Strategic Studies. He is also a recipient of Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) and

Tamgha-i- Imtiaz (Military).

Air Vice Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar was commissioned in GD (P) Branch of Pakistan Air Force in April, 1986. During his illustrious career, he has commanded a Fighter Squadron and an Operational Air Base.

In his staff appointments, he has served as Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Operation Research & Development) and Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Training Officers) at Air Headquarters Islamabad. He is a graduate of Combat Commanders’ School, Air War College and Royal College of Defence Studies, UK. He holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Studies. He is a recipient of Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) and Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military).

Air Vice Marshal Javad Saeed was commissioned in GD (P) Branch of Pakistan Air Force in November, 1986. During his illustrious career, he has commanded a Fighter Squadron, Fighter Wing and an Operational Air Base. In his staff appointments, he has served as Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Operations) at Air Headquarters Islamabad. He is a graduate of Combat Commanders’ School,

Air War College and National Defence University. He holds Master’s degrees in Strategic Studies. He is a recipient of Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) and Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military).
