PM asks Balochistan govt to improve governance


ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has asked the Balochistan government to ensure good governance in the province.

Chairing a meeting on matters pertaining to Balochistan here on Friday before leaving for Saudi Arabia, he said the government was providing increased funds for the development of the province with particular focus on infrastructure development.

He said Balochistan is an important part of the country and provincial and federal governments should work in coordination for optimum utilization of the mineral resources of the province.

The Prime Minister said that development of Gwadar Port and construction of Pakistan-China Economic Corridor would bring a wave of prosperity to the people of Balochistan.
