Oslo: Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif left Oslo for Ufa, Russian Federation, where he would attend 15th SCO Summit and 7th BRICS Summit.
During the two-day visit the Prime Minister is looking forward to hold meetings with the participating leaders including the Russian President, the Chinese President and the Afghan President.
When asked to comment on the likelihood of Prime Minister’s meeting with the Indian Prime Minister, spokesman foreign office confirmed that Pakistan had responded positively to a suggestion from the other side for a meeting between the two leaders on the sidelines of the Summits.
He recalled that it has always been Prime Minister’s policy to seek cordial and cooperative ties with all neighboring countries including India.
It was in the pursuit of this objective that thePrime Minister would be meeting the Indian Prime Minister for a comprehensive exchange on all issues of common interest.
