Islamabad: Sri Syed Mokhtar Albukhary, Chairman MMC Corporation of Malaysia called on the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif here Monday.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that there is vast scope of mutually beneficial cooperation in energy, tourism, telecommunication, vocational training, aviation, and services including finance sectors.
Malaysian companies have been involved in development of infrastructure projects in Pakistan and we invite them to participate in road building, housing and communication sector projects through public-private partnership, said the PM.
Moreover, Pakistan would welcome branches of Malaysian banks in Pakistan. Malaysia can also meet its manpower requirements by absorption of Pakistani students studying in Malaysia in its industry and through skilled, semi-skilled workers from Pakistan, said the PM.
Chairman MMC Corporation thanked the Prime Minister for meeting him and expressed keen interest in investing in shipping, energy, engineering and infrastructure sector projects in Pakistan.
